Morgan Stanley (MS) has revised 36% higher its estimates of global demand for oil: the demand is forecast to increase 1.9 million barrels a day in 2023, instead of previous 1.4 million barrels a day, mainly because of China’s economic recovery and growing air travel. Shortage of global oil supply – unlikely a huge one given support from big oil producers – is predicted to occur in H2 2023, when Brent crude oil prices may grow to US$90-US$100 a barrel.
