Producer Price Index (PPI) for manufactured goods was up 8.8% YoY and up 0.3% MoM in June, when Purchasing Price Index for manufactured goods was up 13.1% YoY and up 0.8% MoM, according to data the National Bureau of Statistics released on July 9. More specifically, PPI for means of production was up 0.5% MoM in June, while that for means of subsistence was down 0.2% MoM.

By industries, PPI was down 0.7% MoM in the ferrous metal smelting, rolling and processing (SRP) industry and down 0.1% MoM in the nonferrous metal SRP industry. The coal mining and washing industry saw an increase of 5.2% MoM, higher than growth of 0.2% MoM in the chemical industry.
