Hebei recently issued Action Plan on Digital Transformation of Petrochemical Industry, setting many targets for 2022 like more widely application of industrial Internet, big data and artificial intelligence. Petrochemical firms will make digital transformation related progresses in aspects of technology optimization, process control, equipment maintenance, production safety, business management, etc.

   In addition, the plan calls for establishing three to five intelligent manufacturing benchmarking enterprises in the field of basic chemicals, and more than 15 digital workshops regarding fine chemicals. Two or three smart chemical industrial parks will be founded, greatly improving energy utilization and production safety. Most enterprises consuming over 5 000 tons of standard coal per year will establish energy management centers.
