In the first five months, import volume of crude oil was up 5.2% YoY to 216 million tons, while average import price was RMB2 567.4/t, down 21.2% YoY. During the same period, 13.4 million tons (down 9.3% YoY) of oil products were imported at the average price of RMB3 037.2/t, down 18.3% YoY. In addition, natural gas imported from January to May totaled 40.12 million tons, up 1.9% YoY, and average import price was down 14.7% YoY to RMB2 642.1/t. In May, China imported 47.97 million tons of crude oil, 3.93 million tons of oil products and 7.84 million tons of natural gas.
