Hengyi Petrochemical issued an announcement on February 23 that its subsidiary Haining Hengyi New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Haining Hengyi New Materials”) has started up the first G line (250 kt/a) and supporting facilities, part of its 1 000 kt/a differentiated green functional fiber project, with on-spec products, mainly fine-denier POY yielded.

The project aims to build China’s first-class, industry-leading intelligent plant, using no lights or labour forces, applying the most advanced intelligent manufacturing mode in the production process to produce high-performance fibers. The project will also make improvement in such aspects as energy conservation, consumption reduction and waste treatment so as to vigorously promote green manufacturing.
