Hebi Tengfei Kicks off 300 kt/a Ethanol Project

Recently, Hebi Tengfei Clean Energy Co., Ltd. and Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) Chinese Academy of Sciences held a groundbreaking ceremony in Hebi city of Henan for their 300 kt/a dimethyl ether (DME) to ethanol project. The project adopts DME carbonylation reaction hydrogenation process developed by DICP, which boasts strong competitive edge in costs, safety and environmental protection. 

   The project will have a total investment of RMB1.18 billion and will include the construction of new reaction vessels, heat exchangers, container towers, canned pumps, heating furnaces, mixers, air coolers, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors and other equipment and facilities as well as supporting public engineering facilities, infrastructure, auxiliary facilities, etc.
