China Gas and Delfin USA Sign MOU on LNG Project

On November 9, China Gas Holdings Limited (China Gas) signed an MOU with Delfin LNG on importing LNG. Delfin LNG is the first floating LNGV project developed in North America, which is planned to transport American natural gas from Louisiana to the deep-water port about 51 miles off the coast through existing submarine pipelines, receiving natural gas from submarine pipelines through FLNGV and converting to LNG, and then ship to imported country by LNGC.
The total investment of this project is US$8 billion, which is expected to commence operations in 2021/2022 with an export capacity of 13mtpa. The MOU is a 15-year LNG supply contract with a total volume of 3mn ton per year from 2021.
