ExxonMobil’s Petrochemical Project Settled in Dayawan

On November1, Huizhou Government, Zhuizhou Dayawan AC and ExxonMobil signed strategic cooperation frame agreement and MOU on Huizhou petrochemical complex project.
Huizhou Dayawan Petrochemical Industrial Zone is one of seven main petrochemical industry bases of national key construction and the first national green demonstration park constructed by green manufacturing system. Huizhou petrochemical complex project will cover a world-class steam cracking unit and its affiliated olefin derivative unit adopting ExxonMobil’s proprietary technology. The signing marks strong alliance of both sides and takes a key step toward jointly creating the world’s leading petrochemical complex project and constructing Huizhou Dayawan world-class petrochemical industrial park.
Dayawan petrochemical zone will actively promote integrated development of “oil head chemical”, driving 79 downstream projects, which attract RMB16.78 billion in total investment. After the second phase of CNOOC’s Huizhou Refinery is built and put into operation, the refinery will have a capacity of 22 million t/a, with ethylene capacity reaching 2.2 million t/a.
