Qingdao University of Science & Technology’s Eco Chemical Collaborative Innovation Center Approved

The application for approval of Eco Chemical Collaborative Innovation Center, led by Qingdao University of Science & Technology has been approved recently, and as one of the second batch of collaborative innovation centers of colleges and universities in Shandong, its project fund is RMB30 million. This is Qingdao University of Science & Technology’s second approved provincial collaborative innovation center, and its first is Green Tire and Rubber Collaborative Innovation Center.
The leading construction unit of Eco Chemical Collaborative Innovation Center is Qingdao University of Science & Technology, and its collaborative partners include Dalian University of Technology, Sinopec Qilu PC’s Research Institute, Wanhua Chemical Group, Lunan Pharmaceutical Group Corporation, and Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The center is an example of a leading industry and strategic emerging industry for China.
The center will integrate resources of university and enterprises, establish seven “technology innovation platforms”, solve key fundamental and common problems in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, emphasize the closed circulation of materials and energy, strengthen basic research and applied research for the fine chemical industry chain’s green technology, integrated technology, energy saving and emission reduction and waste treatment technology, and try to industrialize a number of major scientific and technological achievements with independent intellectual property and environmental, social and economic benefits.
