Yingde Gases’ Coal-to-Hydrogen Project’s Main Unit Construction Started

Construction of the main unit of Yingde Gases Group Company Limited’s comprehensive coal-to-hydrogen project started recently.
The project is located in Jingmen Chemical Recycling Industry Park and is one of the key projects of Hubei Province. It is a supporting facility of Jingmen PC’s 10-million-ton oil quality upgrade project, and its hydrogen production is designed to be 53 000 Nm3/h, with 400 000 t/a methanol and 200 000 t/a ammonia as byproducts. It will be the most complete and biggest industrial gas island in central China, able to provide enterprises in the park with hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, argon, ammonia and methanol.
China National Chemical Engineering Fourth Construction Company has undertaken the construction and installation of the 400 000 t/a methanol unit, which is scheduled to be delivered in June 30, 2018.
