China Issues New Plan to Ensure Safe Production

China is to enact new and revise existing imperfect production safety criteria, and criteria for 12 industries (e.g. hazardous chemicals, coal, etc.) are to be improved by 2020, as detailed in 13th Five-Year Plan for Production Safety Criteria (2016-2020), recently issued by the State Administration of Work Safety.
The number of new and revised criteria totals 362. Two hundred and thirty-one are compulsory. Among them, compulsory national standards for hazardous chemicals include safety management and control standards, enterprise risk classification and supervision standards, etc.; compulsory industry standards include safety standardization series standards, safety standards for tank fields, etc.
