China Imposes Provisional Anti-Subsidy Measures on OCPNA from India

After investigating ortho chloro para nitro aniline (OCPNA) originating from India, the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOC) argues that India subsidizes its exporters when exporting OCPNA to China, hurting China’s OCPNA industry.
Hence, MOC decided to impose provisional anti-subsidy measures, effective October 20, 2017. According to the measures, domestic traders have to pay cash deposits to China’s customs with price subsidy rates ranging from 20.4% to 166% when importing OCPNA from India.
