Super-large Gas Field Discovered in Shanxi

Shanxi province has discovered a super-large gas field with an estimated reserve of over 500 billion cbms and is qualified for building a large coalbed methane (CBM) industry base, as announced at a press conference held on August 23 by the Department of Land and Resources of Shanxi Province.
Since exploration started in 2015, the Yushe-Wuxiang field has been estimated to contain 241.5 billion cubic meters of CBM and 304.1 billion cbms of shale gas.
