Heilongjiang Zhongmeng Longxin Chemical Commences Two Chemical Projects

Heilongjiang Zhongmeng Longxin Chemical held an opening ceremony on August 26 for a project expanding the capacity of its 50 000 t/a methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant and another project upgrading the technology of its 50 000 t/a acetone cyanohydrin (ACH) plant. Longxin Chemical plans to invest RMB105 million in the ACH technology upgrade in order to reduce its high production costs. The improved plant is to start up again in late May 2018. The MMA capacity expansion will cost RMB8 million and will bring capacity up to 75 000 t/a through replacement of key equipment in the existing 50 000 t/a MMA plant. Its products will all be supplied to Longxin Chemical’s MMA plant.
