Chemical Industry Added 4.3% More Value in June, YoY

Domestic firms with annual revenue of at least RMB20 million from main business operations saw a 7.6% YoY improvement in industrial added value (IAV) in June, 1.1 percentage points greater than in May, (H1 was up 6.9% YoY).
Thirty-eight of 41 industries measured showed a better IAV than last June. More specifically, IAV was up 4.3% YoY in the chemical industry and up 13.1% YoY in the auto industry.
Among the 596 product varieties tracked, output of 441 increased in June. In detail, China produced 2.25 million cars, up 6.2% YoY, and processed 46.08 million tons of crude oil, up 2.3% YoY. However, ethylene output was down 3.2% YoY to 1.35 million tons.
