Nano-calcium Plant Commissioned in Pingnan, Guangxi

Phase I of Guangxi Huayan Mineral Resources Material Limited’s 400 000 t/a nano calcium carbonate plant was put into operation on June 13. This is a key project for the nano calcium carbonate industry in Pingnan County of Guangxi Province.
The county’s nano calcium carbonate industry is supported mainly by three local mining firms, each with revenue over RMB100 million – Hengxiang Calcium Carbonate Co., Ltd., Huayang Mineral Resources Material Limited and Huayan Mineral Resources Material Limited. Hengxiang Calcium Carbonate invested RMB247 million to build a 300 000 t/a nano calcium carbonate plant. Huayang Mineral Resources Material and Huayan Mineral Resources Material each have an annual output of 400 000 tons.
Huayan Mineral Resources Material is investing nearly RMB620 million in the project. Construction is divided into two phases, with Phase I costing RMB300 million. The project includes four nano calcium carbonate production lines, together capable of producing 400 000 tons per year.
