Sinopec Jiujiang Pulling Down Alkylation Plant

Sinopec Jiujiang launched a pulldown-before-construction effort for a 300 000 t/a alkylation project on June 23.
The alkylation project is Sinopec Jiujiang’s new effort to make full use of the company’s light hydrocarbon resources, adjust its gasoline product structure, comprehensively upgrade the quality of domestic VI petroleum and improve the company’s economic efficiency. The project was approved in its scientific and technological aspects in April, and is expected to be completed in September 2018.
The pulldown-before-construction effort is a front-end project for the alkylation project. The main engineering project includes pulling down and building new polypropylene packaging factory and warehouses, building the side door of the factory and part of the walls, building part of the roads and supports as well as constructing and backfilling retaining walls. It is expected to complete pulldown-before-construction and underground barrier clearance work at the end of December and start major construction of the alkylation plant after that.
