China Issues First Road Transport Prices & Indexes for Dangerous Goods

China’s first Dangerous Goods Road Transport Prices & Indexes were issued July 6 by China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP), Hazardous Chemicals Branch.
The document comprises two parts – reference prices and indexes. The prices are to aid in negotiations, while the indexes show market conditions (e.g. supply, demand, etc.) and price trends. The national index for June 2017 is 97.72, calculated based on regional indexes.
Thanks to these newly issued indexes, firms engaged in hazardous chemicals logistics can better understand price changes. Hence, they will make correct decisions more easily, allocate vehicles reasonably and increase their load factor. Finally, their services will improve in quality and efficiency. Further, the logistics network platform for hazardous chemicals will make more information available and make it timely, for both logistics firms and goods owners.
