Covestro Wins AICM 2017 Responsible Care? Chairman’s Award

Covestro, a world-leading supplier of high-tech polymer materials, was awarded the AICM 2017 Responsible Care? Chairman’s Award on June 19, in recognition of its leading role in fostering a sustainable industry eco-system and its efforts to strengthen public trust in the industry’s dedication to sustainable development.
This has made Covestro a back-to-back winner of the award, the highest category of the AICM Responsible Care? Award, presented every two years since 2013 by the Association of International Chemical Manufacturers (AICM), the representation of leading international chemical companies in China.
“We are honored to receive the award again. Besides the implementation of responsible care throughout our daily practices, we have evolved to embrace the principle of sustainability - People, Planet and Profit across our entire business strategy,” said Annette Wiedenbach, Head of Communications, Public Affairs and Sustainability, Covestro Greater China. “While we are celebrating the achievements of multinational chemical manufacturers and our own achievements, we shall be ready to look beyond our borders and support our peers in operating in a more sustainable way with open collaboration.”  
Going forward, Covestro intends to expand its collaboration with more partners across the value chain to jointly drive the industry to turn steps into strides towards dedication to responsible care, and together work on the sustainable development throughout the industry.
