China’s Gas Field Development Project Kicks off in Uzbekistan

China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation Uzbekistan subsidiary company, CNPC Group, held ceremony in the state of Bukhara, Uzbekistan for ground engineering of gas field development in Kara Kouri block, which indicated cooperation between China and Uzbekistan made new achievements again.
Uzbekistan is one of the most important oil and gas resources in central Asia. Kara Kouri block is located in the north of the Amu Darya basin, Buxoro Viloyat, southern Uzbekistan. Kara Kouri block gas field ground engineering construction project includes three gas fields, and at present, the project has been fully activated. It is expected that the first phase of the project will be put into operation by the end of November 2017.
