On April 14, 2017, Symrise announced that it is presenting an innovative product range at in-cosmetics 2017: A strong focus lies on solutions that offer the skin effective protection from environmental pollutants and also skin brightening properties. Especially with SymBright (TM) Symrise has developed an ingredient that perfectly serves this demand. The recently launched Thermolat (R) leaves a pleasant warm feeling on the skin without irritating it. Adding to these novelties is Symrise’s latest product launch for hair “KeraSym (TM) Restore” which is based on a particular wheat protein. Finally, Symrise presents the novel “Arctic Range” that consists of plants that survive in extreme climatic conditions. These products and forward-thinking solutions for skin and hair protection can be discovered at the Symrise booth KK20, trade fair seminars and Formulation Lab (R). The international b-to-b trade fair for cosmetic ingredients is taking place in London from April 4–6, 2017.

Sunshine is meant to be enjoyed

Environmental stressors, including pollution, UV rays, but also visible light, infrared rays… the list of external aggressors affecting the skin appearance keeps getting longer. These factors can trigger a common reaction sequence of the skin that often result in pigmentation disorders and dark spots.
SymBright (TM), a multitalented natural molecule, prevents these overreactions, and protects skin luminosity against the exposome. Clinical tests prove significant skin brightening effects after stimulation of pigmentation with UV. In addition, the new UV filter Neo Heliopan (R) BMT offers protection against intense UV radiation. This is achieved via broadband protection and improved UVA protection especially in sun care products with a high SPF.

All about healthy hair

Another key focus to be showcased at in-cosmetics will be the new hair care range KeraSym (TM) as first product results from Symrise’s new Hair Care Center in Brazil. Highlight will be KeraSym (TM) Restore, a unique non-hydrolyzed wheat protein that was created via special gliadin extraction. This natural smart protein repairs the damaged hair where it is most needed, thus reducing hair breakage and split ends while improving hair gloss, force and elasticity.

Cosy warming effects

Symrise strengthens its competence in sensory ingredients with Thermolat (R), a warming substance that generates a pleasant warm feeling in skin care applications like creams, gels and masks. Thermolat (R) starts providing its effects within the first five minutes after application and continues performing for up to two hours. Additionally, Thermolat (R) can perfectly be used to signalize that a cosmetic product is working.

Arctic plant extracts

Due to the harsh, rough climate, Arctic berries and plants are tightly packed with nutrients and offer an interesting source for powerful antioxidants. The Arctic Range, which contains water-soluble Actipone (R) products, is based on organic plants surviving in extreme conditions. The botanicals have proven antioxidant and skin-soothing properties and are suitable for use in a broad spectrum of cosmetic applications.
