China's Biggest Urea Unit    

On May 19th, PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Company's 450 000 t/a synthetic ammonia unit and 800 000 t/a urea unit, both China's biggest upon single capacity, were announced to start operation in Tarim of Xinjiang region. PetroChina invested RMB2.93 billion in constructing this project, beginning September 20th, 2007. The urea unit is expected to produce more than 400 000 tons this year.
