Two Technical Innovation Centers Approved   

On December 9th the National Development and Reform Commission announced the approval of two enterprise innovation ability construction projects, which are both funded by national budget.
   One is constructed in the technical center of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group Limited. NDRC started to fund this center in 2007 to equip with key research and development instruments and other conditions in order to help CSPC Pharma upgrade its innovation ability in new drug formulations and new target drug delivery systems. With its completion, 118 sets of lab instruments were installed in the center, the formulation and auxiliaries R&D pilot test base was built up and put into use.   
   Another project is constructed in the technical center of North China Pharmaceutical Company Limited (NCPC). The project was launched in 2006. NDRC required this center to improve its innovation ability in screening and developing new drugs through this project in the aid of government financial support. Now the center installed 124 sets of instruments and equipment and established a microbiological fermenting pharmaceuticals research and development platform, a bacterial strains separation, culturing and preservation lab, a screening new drug lab, etc. Through the project, a resource database of microbiological bacterial strains was established to serve the domestic pharmaceutical companies, and NCPC upgraded its innovation ability.  
   These two companies both are China's leading API manufacturers, both headquartered in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province.
