China to Promote New Stimulus Programs    

After issuing RMB4 trillion investment plan and ten adjustment and stimulation programs, the Chinese government is planning to issue a group of new stimulation programs involving in new energies, advanced materials, biological medicines, ocean engineering and other new industries. This program group is expected to be released at the end of 2009 or earlier 2010.
   It is said that the National Development and Reform Commission is in charge of drawing the new programs. This may illustrate the road map of national policies will shift from supporting fundamental construction and civil engineering in 2009 into focusing on new and emerging industries in 2010.
   Among the RMB4 trillion investment budget, RMB104 billion was spent in the fourth quarter of 2008, RMB487.5 billion is for 2009 and RMB588.5 billion will be used for 2010, according to an official.
