China Continues Antidumping Measures on Imported PVC

China slapped a five-year anti-dumping tax on imported PVC from the United States, Korea, Japan, Russia and Taiwan province, effective September 29th, 2009, following a final review from a year earlier.
China had imposed the tax on PVC from the nations and region since September 29th, 2003, for five years.
The Ministry of Commerce found that if the anti-dumping taxes were terminated, dumping to Mainland China could keep occurring from the US, South Korea, Japan, Russia and Taiwan province, and that may hurt the domestic PVC industry once again.
Chinese importers of PVC from these countries and region should pay the taxes to Chinese customs since September 29th, 2009.
