CNOOC Ltd. Gains Growth for H1 with Excellent Exploration Performance      

CNOOC Limited (NYSE: CEO, HK: 0883) announces the total net oil and gas production reached 105.8 million barrels-of-oil-equivalent (BOE) for the first half of 2009, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%, in which crude oil production reached 87.3 million barrels, an increase of 20.1% and natural gas production reached 106.3 billion cubic feet, slightly down 3.5%.
   CNOOC Ltd. reported revenue of RMB40.65 billion. The oil and gas sales recorded RMB32.52 billion and net profit reached RMB12.40 billion.
