Interim Review on Japan's Neoprene

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) posted on August 28th to institute interim review on imported neoprene (chloroprene rubber, HS code: 40024910) from Japan.
On May 10th, 2005 MOC found to take measures on imported neoprene from Japan, the USA and the European Union for five years. The antidumping tariff was set ranging 2% to 151% for Japan's firms. (CCR2005 No. 16)
On June 8th, 2009 MOC received a report submitted by Chongqing Changshou Chemical Co., Ltd. and Shanxi Synthetic Rubber Group Co., Ltd. They claimed that the neoprene from Japan was imported into China in such increased quantities or under such conditions as to cause market disruption. Therefore, the two Chinese neoprene producers requested to raise antidumping tariff on imported neoprene from Japan.
The review investigation period is set from July 1st, 2008 to June 30th, 2009, according to MOC.
