Zhejiang Wynca Obtains Patent Judgment against Zhejiang Jinfanda

Zhejiang Wynca Chemical Industrial Group Co., Ltd. (former Xinan, SH: 600596) said a Hangzhou court ruled on August 13th that it won a patent infringement case against Zhejiang Jinfanda Biochemical Co., Ltd.
A civil judgment by the Zhejiang Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court ordered Jinfanda to pay RMB20 million to Zhejiang Wynca for compensation.
Zhejiang Wynca in 1999 applied for patent for the hydrolysis accessorial process in synthesizing glyphosate. The patent was granted in November 2001 under the patent number: ZL99119970.7. The process can recycle and reuse the chloromethane - a waste gas from glyphosate production, helping reduce emission, protect the environment as well as increase economic benefit.
Jinfanda had used the patent without permission, infringing upon Zhejiang Wynca's interests.
Zhejiang Wynca, headquartered in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province, was established in 1965. The company is specialized in the manufacture and operation of pesticides, silicon products and fine chemicals, offering hundreds of products. Among them, the production volume and technology know-how on glyphosate and silicone are in the world's leading position.
