Sinochem Quanzhou Selects Dow Process for PP Project     

Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. has selected UNIPOL TM Polypropylene Process Technology for its new 200 000 t/a polypropylene facility. The plant will be built in Quanzhou, Fujian province, and is expected to come on line in 2011. The Dow Chemical announced August 25th, 2009.
   The facility will mainly produce homopolymers, to meet the demand in China and abroad.
   This world-scale facility is the sixth polypropylene plant in China to license UNIPOLTM Polypropylene Technology from Dow Basic Plastics. The technology will enable the plants to build and operate the most competitive and advantaged facility capable of producing a full range of performance polypropylene products to serve the market's ever changing needs. The Dow says.
