February FDI Dropped 15%      

The Ministry of Commerce of China posted on March 16th the foreign direct investment (FDI) this February fell 15% from the previous year to US$5.833 billion, compared with US$7.541 billion in January, showing fifth month continuous drop.  
   There were 2 761 newly firms formed by foreign fund in China in the first two months of 2009, down sharply 36.85% from a year ago.
   Analysts anticipated FDI would prick up in the second half of 2009 as China is an attracted country for the global investors.
