USA Made Initial Ruling on Citric Acid and Citrates     

The Commerce Department of the USA announced on November 13th, 2008 an initial ruling on citric acid and citrates originated from China and Canada.
   Under the initial ruling, the USA levies an antidumping tariff of 150.09% for China's TTCA Co., Ltd., 119.41% for Yixing Union Biochemical Co., Ltd., and imposes a special tax of 134.75% for some companies and 156.87% for additional companies.
   For Canadian firms, the USA imposes 20.88% antidumping tariff.
   Anhui BBCA Biochemical Co., Ltd., a leading citric acid maker in China, has borne a 97.72% anti-subsidy tax on citric acid and citrates exported to the USA since this September. (CCR2008 No. 30)
