Continual Catalytic Reforming Unit Kicks off      

On November 9th, 2007 Sinopec Guangzhou Petrochemical Company Ltd. has started the construction work on 1.0 million t/a continual catalytic reforming unit in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
   As a matching facility of 10 million t/a refining renovation project in Guangzhou Petrochemical, the unit with an investment of RMB1.2 billion is due to be completed and go on stream in December 2008.
   After completion of the unit, the production capacity of gasoline in Guangzhou Petrochemical will increase by 700 000 t/a.
    Guangzhou Petrochemical is an important petrochemical producer in southern China. It takes refining and ethylene production as the main business and its leading products include gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, naphtha, heavy oil, LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), toluene and butadiene.
