700 000 T/A Sulfuric Acid Unit Starts Production     

On November 12th, 2007 the 700 000 t/a smelting flue gas based sulfuric acid unit of Shandong Yanggu Xiangguang Copper Co., Ltd. was completed and went on stream in Liaocheng, Shandong province.
   It is China's first project using the super high-concentration sulfur dioxide conversion process. Both the investment and the operating cost of the unit are lower than those of conventional sulfuric acid units.
   Xiangguang Copper Co., Ltd. is China's major copper smelter focusing on manufacturing cathode copper, sulfuric acid, lead cakes, arsenic cakes and copper cakes.
