Tianjin Bohai Launches Styrene and ABS Projects     

On November 8th, 2007 Tianjin Bohai Chemical Industry Group (Tianjin Bohai) started the construction work on 500 000 t/a styrene and 400 000 t/a ABS projects in Lingang Industrial Area, Tianjin.
     The RMB4.8 billion projects are major for the Area. The 500 000 t/a styrene project is due to be completed and go on stream in June 2009. The construction of the 400 000 t/a project are divided into two phases, and the first phase of the project is expected to be completed and go on stream by the end of 2009.
    Tianjin Bohai is China's leading chemical enterprise focusing on manufacturing organic chemicals, inorganic chemicals, chemical agents, etc.
    On September 20th, 2006 Sinopec Tianjin Petrochemical Company Ltd. and Tianjin Bohai signed an agreement on the supply of petrochemical products. According to the agreement, after the completion of the 1.0 million t/a ethylene project of Tianjin Petrochemical, Tianjin Petrochemical will offer 150 000 tons of ethylene, 50 000 tons of propylene, 150 000 tons of butadiene and 100 000 tons of benzene a year to Tianjin Bohai.
