Kramay High-Pressure Hydrogenation Unit Conducts Wet Commissioning     

On October 15th, 2007 the 300 000 t/a high-pressure hydrogenation unit of CNPC Kramay Petrochemical Company Ltd. was conducted successful wet commissioning.
   Construction on the unit was started in October 2005 and was completed in July 2007. After the completion of the unit, the production capacity of lube oil in the company has reached 600 000 t/a, and the company become a major lube oil producer in China.
    On October 8th, 2007 a 800 000 t/a heavy-duty road asphalt unit of Kramay Petrochemical was completed and went on stream, and produced qualified light deasphalted oil and asphalt. The 4 000 t/a sulfur recovery unit has also been conducted successful wet commissioning. (CCR 2007, No.30) The sulfur recovery capacity in the company has increased from 1 500 t/a to 5 500 t/a. The sulfur recovery rate reaches more than 99.8%. The emission of hazardous gases is reduced and the environment is protected.
