200 000 T/A Dimethyl Ether Project Starts Production     

On October 18th, 2007 the 200 000 t/a dimethyl ether project in Inner Mongolia Tianhe Chemical Co., Ltd. (subsidiary of Lutianhua Group Inc.) was completed and went on stream in Bayannaoer, Inner Mongolia.
   It is one of the major investment projects of Sichuan Chemical Holdings Group Co., Ltd. during the Eleventh Five-year Program period (2006-2010). The project has an investment of around RMB200 million and the construction was started in August 2006.
   The unit uses the vapor/solid-phase catalytic process and technology jointly developed by Lutianhua Group Inc. and Toyo Engineering of Japan and the dimethyl ether synthesis catalyst with high effect and high selectivity owned by Lutianhua with intellectual property right.
   As the parent company of Lutianhua Group Inc., Sichuan Chemical Holdings Group Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the production and sales of synthetic ammonia, urea, ammonium nitrate, melamine, sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, argon, hydrogen peroxide and catalysts etc., being one of the largest producers of nitrogenous fertilizers in China.
