Bekaert Expands Steel Cord Capacity in China     

On September 25th, 2007 the second-phase expansion project with an investment of RMB240 million in Bekaert Binjiang Steelcord Co., Ltd (BBSC) started production in Jiangyin, Jiangsu province. The production capacity of steel cords in the company has expanded to 125 000 t/a.
   Bekaert is a Belgium-based large multinational group. It holds a leading position in the world in the development and production of steel wires, steel cords, advanced materials and filming technologies. With the successful expansion of the second-phase project in Jiangyin, Bekaert's production capacity of steel cords in China reaches 250 000 t/a.
