Guizhou Launches Coal Chemical Project     

On August 28th, 2007 construction on the first-phase of a coal chemical project was started in Tongzi county, Zunyi, Guizhou province of southwestern China. As a modern large clean coal chemical project, the first-phase will have a capacity of 300 000 t/a synthetic ammonia, 520 000 t/a urea, 300 000 t/a methanol and 200 000 t/a urea-based compound fertilizer.
   The project is planned to spend a total investment of RMB3.5 billion, with Guizhou Jinyuan Group Co., Ltd. and Guizhou Chitianhua Group Co., Ltd. each subscribing 50%. This first-phase coal chemical project is expected to go on stream in 2009. After its startup, a sales revenue of RMB1.6 billion will be added for the company per year.
