Yankuang Group Kicks off Acetic Acid and Ethyl Acetate Project

On August 2nd, 2007 Yankuang Group started construction on the
300 000 t/a acetic acid and 100 000 t/a ethyl acetate project
in Yankuang Cathay Chemical Co., Ltd. (YCCC) in Tengzhou,
Shandong province of eastern China. The whole project with a
total investment of RMB1.8 billion will adopts several leading
gasification and acetic acid synthesis technologies developed
by Yankuang Group itself. After completion, the project is
expected to increase the sales revenue in YCCC by RMB2 billion
per year.
    YCCC is jointly funded by Yankuang Group and Cathay Coal
Chemical Holding Co., Ltd. of the United States. Other main
products in YCCC include methanol, liquid oxygen, liquid
nitrogen, sulfur, etc.
