Ningxia Baota Kicks off 100 000 t/a DME Project

On July 16th, 2007 construction on the 100 000 t/a DME (dimethyl
ether) project, 200 000 t/a air fractionation project and 80 000
t/a PP (polypropylene) project was started in Ningxia Baota
Petrochemical Group (Ningxia Baota) located in Ningdong Base,
Ningxia. The construction period is eight months.
   The three projects mentioned above are respectively designed
by East China Engineering Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (ECEC,
the former the 3rd Design Institute of Ministry of Chemical
Industry), Jinan Petrochemical Design Institute and Baota
Petrochemical Design Institute. The three projects will adopt
domestic advanced technologies and make breakthroughs in the
development of cyclic economy, reduction of energy consumption
and balance of materials.
