DCMG Kicks off 600 000 T/A Methanol Project

On May 22nd, 2007 construction on the 600 000 t/a methanol
project was started in Datong Coal Mine Group (DCMG) in Datong,
Shanxi province. The 600 000 t/a methanol project is the first
phase of the 1.2 million coal-to-methanol project in DCMG. The
project makes use of the world's advanced Shell technology
process.
   With abundant coal reserve in Datong, DCMG is expanding its
business from coal only to coal chemicals.
