Eramet-Comilog Starts up Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide Project

The electrolytic manganese dioxide project constructed by
Guangxi Eramet-Comilog Chemical Co., Ltd. was put on stream in
Chongzuo Municipal Industry Zone of Guangxi on April 18th, 2007.
Construction on this project was started on November 17th, 2005.
Guangxi Eramet-Comilog Chemical Co., Ltd. is funded by Hong Kong
Comilog Fareast Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of
Eramet-Comilog Co., Ltd. of France.
   The manganese dioxide project has a total investment of
RMB460 million. The first phase has a capacity of 20 000 t/a
electrolytic manganese dioxide and an investment of RMB320
million. After the full completion of the project, the output
value will be around RMB400 million a year.    
   Eramet-Comilog Co., Ltd. of France is the biggest producer
of manganese chemical products and also the second biggest
producer of high-grade manganese ores in the world. It has
already established 3 plants in Guangxi. The leading product in
Guangxi Eramet-Comilog Chemical Co., Ltd. funded by the French
company in Chongzuo is electrolytic manganese dioxide.
