Gavin Starts Up Nanometer Calcium Carbonate Production Base

On April 18th, 2007 Luoding Gavin Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd.
put on stream its 70 000 t/a nanometer calcium carbonate
production line in Luoding, Guangdong province. With a total
investment of RMB290 million and an area of over 23 hectares,
Luoding Gavin Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Enping Gavin Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd., which
now owns two production plants respectively in Enping and
Luoding of Guangdong province and has become one of the leading
nanometer calcium carbonate producers in the world. The
nanometer calcium carbonate production capacity of the
completed Enping production base is 120 000 t/a, in four lines.
   Located in Chuanbu Town Industrial Zone, the Luoding plant
will include three lines, each with a capacity of 70 000 t/a.
The second-phase production line is planned to start production
in September 2007. The third one is expected to be put on stream
in March 2008. While part of the facilities are imported from
abroad, key production facilities and technologies in the
Luoding plant are developed by Gavin itself.
    Enping Gavin Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. is a private
high-tech company, mainly engaged in the R&D of nanometer
powder.
