Fengxi Huarui Starts Up Urea Production Line

The urea production line in Shanxi Fengxi Huarui Coal Chemical
Industry Co., Ltd. was put on stream and produced qualified
products in Xinjiang county, Shanxi province on April 14th, 2007.
The project has a total investment of RMB700 million and uses
coke oven gas as raw material.
   The 180 000 t/a synthetic ammonia and 300 000 t/a urea
production line completed this time is the first phase of the
360 000 t/a synthetic ammonia and 600 000 t/a urea coal chemical
project using coke oven gas discharged by coking enterprises in
Xinjiang Coal Chemical Industry Park as raw material. It adopts
matured and advanced process technologies such as
oxygen-enriched methane conversion and carbon dioxide stripping
urea synthesis. Complete localization has been achieved in the
production line. Construction on the production line was started
in March 2006 and was basically completed at the end of December
2006. Single-machine trial run and train west commissioning were
launched in January 2007 and the light-load production of
synthetic ammonia was achieved at the end of March 2007.
   It is expected that 240 000 tons of urea can be produced and
a sales revenue of RMB400 million can be accomplished in 2007.
The second phase of the project will be started construction in
the fourth quarter of 2007 and be fully completed and put on
stream at the end of 2008.
