Bridgestone Opens Huizhou Plant Commercially

On April 23rd, 2007 Bridgestone (Huizhou) Tire Co., Ltd. was put
on stream in Huizhou Digital Industry Zone, Guangdong province,
southern China. Founded in April, 2005 Bridgestone (Huizhou)
Tire Co., Ltd. was mainly engaged in the production of radial
tires for truck and bus. (CCR2005, No.24) Its products are aiming
to supply for the markets of southern China, where automobile
industry and transportation industry develop rapidly. The
Huizhou plant is the fourth plant in China invested by
Bridgestone of Japan and the other three ones are respectively
located in Tianjin of northern China, Wuxi of Jiangsu province,
eastern China and Shenyang of Liaoning province, northeastern
China. The advanced technologies and facilities imported from
Bridgestone of Japan are used in the Huizhou plant with
considerate concern on environmental protection. The Tianjin
plant and the Wuxi plant are mainly engaged in the production
of sedan tires, while the Shenyang plant manufactures radial
tires for truck and bus.
   Bridgestone is one of the largest tire and rubber
manufacturers in the world. The Huizhou plant is Bridgestone's
46th tire production base in the world. Since 1999, Bridgestone
has opened its China headquarter, four production bases, one
Wuxi training center and two R&D centers in China now.
Bridgestone launched a synthetic rubber project in Huizhou Daya
Bay Petrochemical Industry Park on August 8th, 2006 in Guangdong
