Hualu Hengsheng Starts up 200 000 T/A Methanol Project

Shandong Hualu Hengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. (Hualu Hengsheng,
SH: 600426) recently announced that the 200 000 t/a methanol
project, the DMF (dimethyl formamide) expansion project (from
80 000 t/a to 150 000 t/a), public facilities innovation projects
in the company were recently conducted trial run and
manufactured qualified products in Dezhou of Shandong province,
eastern China.
   After a series of expansion, Hualu Hengsheng has been the
leader in the fertilizer and coal chemical industries in China.
The company now has the capacity of 1.05 million t/a urea and
200 000 t/a methanol and is expected to complete the 200 000 t/a
acetic acid project in 2008. Meanwhile, the company has owned
150 000 t/a DMF capacity. In December 2006, Hualu Hengsheng
invested RMB140 million in constructing another 80 000 t/a DMF
production line. The company recently posted its 2006
performance that the sales revenue of urea and DMF increased by
38% and 45.8% respectively than the previous year.
