Development of New Oil and Gas Tracts Accelerated
China has discovered 10 new oil and gas tracts each with a  reserve  of
over 100 million tons. The development of these oil and gas tracts  is
in full swing. Experts say that they will ease  the  shortage  of  oil
resources in China.
These oil and gas tracts include Mazhatak Structural Belt of the  Tarim
Basin, Shinan Zone of the Zhenger Basin, Shaqiunan Zone of the Zhenger
Basin, Lukexin Structural Belt of the Tuha  Basin,   Lenghu- Nanbaxian
Structural Belt of  the  Qaidam  Basin,   Longhupao  Zone  of  Daqing,
Tanhaihianan Structural Belt of Liaohe, Baimamiao Zone of the  Sichuan
Basin, Shan 141 Well Zone of the Erduosi Basin and Shan 231 Well  Zone
of the Erduosi Basin.
While strengthening the effort in prospecting, the development of new
oil and gas fields have been greatly accelerated in China. The onshore
capacity in China has reached 143 million t/a for crude oil and 17. 17
billion m3/a for natural gas.
