Large Chemical Fertilizer Plant and  Ethylene  Plant  to  Be  Constructed  in
      Chongqing
China Oil and  Natural  Gas  Corporation  will  construct  a  large  chemical
fertilizer plant in Chongqing. The plant will have a capacity of 450 000 t/a
ammonia and 800 000 t/a urea.  The  natural  gas  consumption  will  be  500
million cubic meters. The total investment will be 3.82 billion yuan, and of
the total the equity amount will be 1 billion yuan. The construction  period
will be 3 - 4 years. Besides, the corporation also plans to  cooperate  with
foreign companies and construct a 300 000 t/a ethylene plant  using  natural
gas as raw material. The investment of the project will be around 6  billion
yuan.
