Potassium  Sulfate  Capacity to Be Expanded in Kaifeng
Kaifeng Chemical Fertilizer Plant of  Henan  has  set  up  Kaifeng  Qingshang
Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. in collaboration with a Hong Kong company.  In
view of the shortage of potassium  sulfate  in  the  domestic  market,   the
company has decided to expand the potassium sulfate capacity by  another  20
000 t/a. The expansion will be completed at the end of 1998, and the company
will have a total potassium sulfate capacity of 40 000 t/a at that time.
